Kroenen Mask help.

So lately my interest in the movie version of Hellboy has hit an absolute high and I am into all things Kroenen. I was thinking about purchasing a Sideshow mask and converting it to a WWII version but really wouldn't know where to start. Does anybody have any pictures or screen caps or maybe even a tutorial on how to convert it?

I'm desperate.

Oh, and also please show me your masks. If anything I want to drool over some pretty pictures. ;)

I don't own a Kroenen mask (yet) but here's something else Kroenen-related with some drool appeal to it. :)

Looking to have this painted sometime next year.

That's just gorgeous.
I remember when that was being sculpted, I was definately drooling over the progress pics back then. :D

Another question for the hellboy fanatics, when looking for the officer's cap, what should I be looking for? and where?
I remember there being a link to the original manufacturer's of the movie cap somewhere on here... I should say that I'm feeling a little uncomfortable looking for nazi stuff online.

Here are my Kroenen Masks so far:

WWII version (converted sideshow)

I love the WWII mask...
Someday I will find a cheap one... :(

(Nice idea for a thread Badd Blood. ;) )

That SS Kroenen bust is fantastic. :thumbsup I want it... A similar one sold here awhile back....really sorry that I had missed it.

When looking for a Kroenen SS officers cap you want to find a black Algemeine SS officers cap, Algemeine is generally black in color, though later in the war they switched to feild gray (so Kroenens' uniform is technicly inaccurate). There's a couple of different places you can find them of varying quality.
I believe an affordable one is from Reddick Militaria here:
OFFICER CAPS

Or if your into the extreme accuracy, Bill Bureau's Militaria carries Janke uniforms, probably the closest possible one to an original early WWII version here:
MORE CAPS

Make sure you get the following:
All black
officers model
schirmutze
Algemeine SS
white piping
leather visor

Feel free to direct any questions regarding German uniforms my way, I'm failry knowledgeable on the subject, and WWII uniforms in general.

you're welcome :)

heres another pic of the hat on my sideshow mask, with the correct eagle and totenkopf pins.

i realize the sideshow mask isnt the correct paint scheme. my plan is to eventually repaint one of mine to match his "nazi" mask, and display it and the hat on a mannequin along with the rest of my screen used nazi uniform from the beginning of the film.

This my friends.

He is currently waiting for a real leather jacket and better belt.

This costume is awesome.

He has the sideshow mask, but is not wearing it in the pic.

Here is my scratch made Venetian style Kroenen mask. It had the engraved details onnthe prototype but the mold got messed up so I never got a good casting with the engravings, so the face was smooth.
