Hey there .I just recently joined and unfortunately I have own no current props

My wife and I are as we speak planning to build a Kylo ren costume in time for the premiere of TFA in December my wife is a wonderful seamstress and I hope to be posting pictures here within the next few days I myself and I somewhat decent Wood maker and I am planning to start carving a Kylo ren saber hilts out of wood this next week I intend to cast it and make one with a red poles. coming upon reference photos of the costume as well as the Sabre I noticed a red glow on the character helmet my random question of the day is are they using real light up light sabers? Eventually costume will go on mannequin I'm my office. I want to make my costume is accurate as possible to the screen used items if so I would like to make an light up one
