Very new to the site, looks like an awesome community. I'm looking at making my own spiderman outfit, and based off of some of the post here, it seems that working with the latex seems to be one of the hardest parts. I'd love to know if there's any seamstresses in NZ, preferably Auckland, that I could chat to about some of the difficulties involved, and possibly even pay for a proper fitting.
My idea at the moment is to find a good material with a suitable pattern (such as sport fabric with a hexagonal or waffle weave) and use that. Probably gonna go for the Ultimate Spider-Man comic version, or Amazing Spider-Man 2 movie version.

PS: also considering getting a bit more in shape to make this costume authentic
