Looks like great stuff, wonder if its available in the uk? be worth the $40 a can if it gets those results :lol

Considering that there are a few projects I have that will require a chrome-like finish - this is great. I love to know how it compares to Alcad's paint.

Gotta get some for my Cylon....
2-3 cans should do..

I like the way they have Darth Vader, And Jango,
Like if they Know who to Sell it to...

Looks like thier old product Mirrachrome or Mirrochrome... You needed to use special equipment or at a minimum an airbrush to apply it.

I had a long talk with one of the salesman and techs at Alsa Corp and they confirmed that to get a true mirror chrome effect that the surface of whatever you are painting HAS to have a smooth as glass surface or you will get less than stellar results.

I would expect that to go with out saying. If the surface is truely reflective, than obviously any imperfections in the surface would be readily visable.

The two items they are applying the chrome to is a ceramic tile and what appears to be a vac formed piece similar to a mouse. Both also look to have been shot with a black undercoat.

I was able to FINALLY download the larger movie file from their site... I've uploaded it to RapidShare if anyone want's it faster than from Alsacorp's site.

The stuff does look great though.

Having now seen the video, both objects started off with glossy, reflective surfaces. I really don't see much indication of surface preperation. Looks like a regular old ceramic tile with a gloss glaze and vac-formed plastic. I would not say that either one ended up with a "prefect mirror finish". The reflections in both were cloudy, but much clearer than anything I've ever seen out of a spray can. It's my guess that the video was meant to show the results possible on "normal" surfaces. I suspect that with better surface preparation a near perfect chrome finish would be possible.

This is a pretty impressive product. I may need to pick up a can or two.

110% A-OK Resourcing is what it is about.

I myself like to see any new product or application.

It's confirmed right on the site: "Always apply KILLER CHROME over a high gloss substrate using a light 'dusting' action."

Did anyone explore the site deeply enough to find the "showcase" where they display Killer Chrome combined with True Gold Candy on a small C-3PO figure?

Here's a link (scroll down on the page that opens):

Not the best gold effect I've seen. Still looks like paint.

Anyone know if it will retain its glossines when handled?

Not impressed with the 3po at all. Does this mean they don't carry gold in a can?
