Kick-Ass is awesome!

You come to review thread... you get spoiled. :lol

100% incorrect.
I came to see if everyone enjoyed it or weather it failed. I did not come into the reveiw thread so that someone can reveal (or at least part of) the end.

For all that wondered why the film was different from the comic near the final quarter, it was because the comic wasnt actually finished when the film was being made :)

JD... that was a pretty lame move. At least you could go back and edit your post with spoiler code so you don't ruin it for others.

Read the 1 star review it got in the Sun-Times, went and saw it, loved every minute of it. (y)thumbsup(y)thumbsup:thumbsup :love

Need to go see it this weekend. Really liked the comic a bunch. My main debate is whether or not to take the wife along as I'm not sure she can handle all the gore.

Also...loved the Ebert bash over on AICN

saw this last night, awesome awesome movie. going to see it at least 2 more times again this weekend....damn it was FUNNY AND VIOLENT AND IT KICKED MY ASS soo good!!!

Now THAT was satire!
Beautifully made and done! Lots of humor, and lots of bad-ass stuff . . .and even more subtext and hidden humor (loved the movie theatre advertiseing "The Spirit 3")

I saw it, and it lives up to it's title, even if the film's namesake doesn't always. Costumed heroes, over the top gunplay, and a foul mouthed little girl. What more could you want in a film? On top of that, a truly endearing father daughter relationship that, apart from the specific details, would be welcome in any movie.

Oh, and the contrast of upbeat, if not juvenile, music during Hitgirl's violent rampages was certainly "fun". That is, if you consider all that gory mayhem "fun".
