Sadly, I don't quite have the budget or ability to make that beautiful bike. But I can make some vinyl riding gear and a big foam gun!

Throughout the course of the comic series and movie Kaneda wears plenty of different leather designs, but I'll be working off the one pictured above. It's just so cool.

I'm going to make the jacket and pants out of red vinyl from scratch, and I'm starting to draft those patterns this weekend. I'm not sure yet how exactly I'm going to make the gun- probably PVC pipe and foam. My first priority is the costume portion, as I'm planning on wearing it to Sakuracon come April, and I've never worked with vinyl before.
