:rolleyes yup rubber and robert's secret painting technique. hahaha! everybody at the con thought it was (1) fiberglass (2) plastic...and when we say rubber they're like "really?" thanks. we're very proud of it. again, robert has outdone himself. BUT there are still more to improve on it. so it's still on the drawing board.

ok, i think ill continue working on the helmet, i have the mold, pjelly, newspapers and wood glue, uhm Garuda, do i apply the pjelly and let it dry or place the other things directly after i apply it?

just don`t let pjelly dry, after applying pjelly, you can start to put the paper directly, and make sure the whole paper is dry enough, it likes thin plastic when it`s dry

hello guys, some update i did the pjelly thing and this is how it looked like:

i didnt really get the same quality as the tutorial, i also ripped one part because i had a hard time removing it from the helmet. but it had a realluy good hardness quality although its really rough and wrinkled.


im thinking of trying the rubber next, uhm izabel how do form the rubber? :3

do you sure that paper is dry enough? it should be no probs if it dry enough, oh btw, i do 6 layers on it, and after releasing it from the mold and makes the whole with 3 separated parts, do again the process with only 1 layer, to remove wrinkle, you can use sandpaper, and after that before applying paint, add wood glue for 1 layer...and that`s it

I realized this weekend that I needed to re-certify my Apple Tech certification, so that took a lot of my time this weekend. (and needed it done before next Monday)

i`ve been working with my rider costume now, next time i`ll upload the paper helmet progress, when first time to try, my helmet was not so good either, just like yours, but after several attempt, i got a good one, so don`t stop to try
