Im looking to build a foam prop based from the series Kamen Rider Ghost. The prop im looking to build belongs to the characters Kamen Rider Specter and Kamen Rider Necrom and its the weapon they both use the Gan Gun Gabber/Catcher. I went looking at an Oda Nob Nobunaga rifle for reference seeing how the handle and tiger are based off the style of rifle he had (also Specter teams with Nobunaga).
So heres the part im having trouble with. Im in need of trying to figure out the length of this prop as was as being able to have the hand close when i cock the prop in to rifle mode, and have the hand open back up when i uncock it. Now i've done some research and got a number of around 4 1/2 feet for the full length of the rifle. It made wonder if that was to big or to small for any rifle
