K9 ¼ Scale Toy Breakdown

Hi,

I've a ¼ Scale K9 toy (though it's probably 1/3 scale in reality.)

I'd like to take it apart and hack it. The screws underneath the model are easy to access to open it up, but to really take it apart, I need to remove some hidden screws on the side:

has a image where you can see the four screw covers on the body and four on the head.

I'd appreciate some advice. Does anyone know how I can safely remove the screw covers on the side, without damaging them or the K9 case?
