I JUST started this today, last week the was a perfect 303 rifle . oh the things we do for star wars. i am looking for a grenade cup . its the piece that is on the end of the barrel. i just added this abs barrel until i find a real enfield launcher. its for my kids jawa costume. i am getting the robes from tk 409 . see pics

Looks good guy. Just be careful on how you shorten the barrel on it.It's a Federal case if you don't have the thing done by a good gunsmith. They know the laws on how to do these things. :cheers :thumbsup Good Luck on it

Lookin' pretty darn good. If you don't mind me asking, what was your source? One of these days, I'd love to get around to doing a conversion.

i bought this at a local gunsmith, he almost cried when i told him what i was going to do with it lol its amazing what a hack saw and a chop saw can do lol :lol

Nice find.

As for hacking it up... sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. :) Good luck with the cup. I hear it can be a bear to locate.

Is Springfield Armory out of their Enfields?

I bought a Rifle with the grenade cup for $85 a few years ago and they told me they had a ton of them available.

Has their stock dried up?

i wish i could find one for 85.00 .

looks good. As someone stated this before. You can make a temporary one out of pvc pipe, until you find the real deal. I still need to find or make the rings that hold the grenade launcher on mine. If you find a solution hit me up.

Grenade cups pop up on ebay from time to time. Interestingly enough, there is also someone out there that makes and sells reproduction cups on ebay.

As for the gun-to-cup adapter, there was a member here that used to make machined ones. I believe (but don't quote me) that it was MonCal. Drop him a PM and see what he says.

If anyone knows who makes the repros - please pm me (or post if possible). I haven't been able to find one for a couple years. I did make a PVC standby last year for Halloween. Not sure if I have any pics or not though.

That poor enfield :( I hope you killed a sporter'd one instead of a nice military example. But from the pitting I see in one of your pics, it really doesn't make a difference :p Anyway its looking good and getting the cup isn't to hard, they're relatively easy to find, but its tough to find the correct version of the cup. The hard part is finding the powder flask lol.

I think I'm going to be sick
I have a 1916 SMLE and was thinking of casting it in resin to make my Jawa Blaster.
Mine is a Cadet Issue with yellow stripes and it is a wonderful shooter.
I too hope that this one was a sporter instead of a piece of Military History.

Smelly Shooters (SMLE) tend to be very protective when it comes to modding or even restoring/reconditioning these battle rifles.

Other then that it is a beautiful example of a JAWA Blaster.

Let me know if you find a Grenade Launcher.
I need one as well. Resin would do too.
