Jurassic Park

Very nice work. I am yet to find anyone who redrew the entire brochure's dino logo's, key and overall graphics in vector form like Me and Mr Nagata did :p

I was going to do all the dino logos but I have yet to see any decent high-res source material so I had to settle with the main logo at least for now :p

I have them all in vector form. You can also find some very high res ones on the JP Jeep forum. I just purchased 10 x brochures from Ryan in the Junkyard as I doubt my replica artwork is going to get printed in a while and his was the inspiration for me doing mine in the first place :D

Yeah I think that is the one on the bottom, missing teeth and what-not

Paul,

I heard from another source that Ryan (user: Mr. Nagata) has sold his original file for brochure production in the past. Did you ask him about this?

I drew one up a few months back and posted the progress on here and the JP Legacy. IMO it was spot on and very vibrant. I ordered the brochures printed from him as A: I think his replica is amazing B: I couldn't get my art printed in the U.K. without copyright problems and I wanted to give them away to my JP friends for gifts this Christmas :D

Mine is here (watermarked) so you can judge for yourself and of course I am open to any help of how this can get printed at a later date

Paul,

Your's looks very close in quality to Ryan's. I think the only difference is the overall sharpness and the glossiness of the image (shininess). Both of which could be corrected in Photoshop or another image editor.

Ryan agreed when I sent him the original unwatermarked. Here's how mine I got from Him turned out, framed it with my Visitor pass :D

Hey predpaul any chance you could lend a hand in cleaning up a screen accurate splash screen as seen in the Explorer and in the Mr. DNA intro (the trex JP stone looking image)? I have a bunch of screen caps from the scene with lex and some of the theater scene but my efforts to clean the image up have been futile. See attachments for what I'm working with, taken from the new rescan of the film used for the 3D release.

The carved logo is in the making of book. I don't remember if it is the right color though, but that should be a simple fix if the color is wrong.

Is it really?! I was just thinking about buying the book yesterday actually. If someone here has it can you possibly offer a scan of the page?

Meh, I'll go ahead and buy a copy anyway... the paperback is less than $10 on ebay.

Scoodidabop,

I was able to locate my book and I am sorry to say the logo is MUCH smaller than i remembered it being. I thought it was a full page version, but it is a 2" x 1.5" thumbnail.

D'oh! How's the detail? If I do a high res enough scan it might come out better than my screen grabs if there's enough detail in the photo.

Ordered a book so we'll see if it scans well enough soon!

Hey Tsully I have a few plain Barbasol cans I could try scanning. Not sure how they'd do given their shape though...

So I received my 'making of' book and there's LOADS of really good pics in it that I've never seen online. Regrettably the stone logo isn't the one I'm looking for but that's ok. The one in the book is this:

...which is very similar but the screen in the car and in the 'tour theater' are a little different... almost as if they're filled in with sand or something. Here's my first attempt at making a decent copy of it using the screengrabs above:

If I patch in some of the various shots from the tour theater screen it could improve the quality quite a bit. Honestly I'm probably one of very few people that care about having this particular screen shot since there are other very good different versions of this out there but whatev!

Something like this?

I'm sure with some enhancements you can get the coloring better ;)

JPOS takes for ever... 8 years now... But the teaser is new, looks still promissing...

BTW: Still on the run for the ID cards, anyone?!? Nedry, Muldoon and Arnold would do...

Allosaur? Anyone?
