Jumanji Props

Hi guys, I was wondering, it would be pretty sweet to have some other props from Jumanji along the great board that Markpoon provided us :)

So I'm really considering to find a way to get these items:

Any info on any of these items?

Are the shoes made from scratch? Or is there a close looking pair of shoes?

What about the hat, any ideas of the material used for it?

Thank you!

EDIT: Just found what the shoes are :D

Thanks Emma for the info! :thumbsup

somewhat OT: Just finished watching a documentary on sneakers called Just For Kicks. Recommended! Lots of classic models. No mention of the use on movies though which what somewhat weird. Atleast the music connection was well presented.

I remember awhile ago someone was making the shoebox, and I'm pretty sure there was a thread about it. I dont know whatever came of it or if it was ever finished.

I might be able to make the box to be honest, I think the most complicated would be the hero helmet x)

Shoe box would be easy.
At the store I work at we get blank boxes for loose shoes that are sent flat and you fold them into shape.
Next time you are in a store look at the construction and make a pattern from that.

Helmet can be sculpted in clay, molded then slosh cast in resin or fiber glassed.

Just bought a pair of Nike air max :) They were fairly cheap! It's all white, so I guess it should be fine to custom! Wish me luck xD, Do you guys have specific technics, so I could consider them? :)

By the way do you know what is the watch on the necklace? I read Westfield on it, but didn't find any similar watch to this one.. And the coin? ^^

Anybody know the size of the shoe box?^^

Trying to figure out the necklace, I found this type of tooth, what do you guys think?

Do you think the coin could be this one?

Although a good film I'm not big on it personally and know nothing about he props, that said the tooth you found there looks pretty close to me, can't help with the coin but, at a guess, I would say it was obviously a coin of the era when he was a lad at the beginning? I realise that was probably the worst help in the history of the RPF but there you have it lol, good luck with it :D:thumbsup

I may be wrong but the thin metal part with square 'dimples' on it appears to be one side removed from a pen knife and the part on the far right in the top pic is the bottle opener/screwdriver part from said penknife. And of course the watch is a Westfield which he was given by his father if I remember rightly.

Sorry if you knew all that already, I should watch the film again soon :p

I actually identified every objects :p But I only need the watch, I can't find one like this :x

I supposed the coin was one from 1969, as he left to the Jumanji world in 1969 XD! It's really hard to see :p

The tooth is a wolf tooth, because of its colour and the shape of it.

So the warch is a westfield, but can't find the correct one :x

Concerning the metal parts it's from a Victorinox pocketknife :p

If you cannot find the right watch, could you take a simple vintage Timex and change out the face by creating artwork and printing it out?
It basically is just a sheet of paper that you could switch out.

Possibly might be the only option, apparently Bulova purchased Westfield sometime in the 1920's and produced watches till the early 60's under that name, officially in 1989 the Westfield brand was cancelled. The Westfield was basically a cheaper version of the mainstream Bulova watches with a lesser jewel count.

From what I read it will be very difficult to get hold of an original if it can be identified as to which model it was, personally I think it may have been the 'Tojan' named model with a metal strap added, the closest I could find.

The auctions that advertised the actual prop called in a 'rusted Timex' but I doubt that was the case unless they changed the face to resemble an older watch maybe? For some reason this has peaked my interest to find the actual watch lol :D

It may have been mentioned already, the helmet is the shell of an american snapping turtle. They can be found from time to time in the correct shape/size if you look around enough. They are farm raised for meat here.
