I have begun updating my Hero P1 trace table using the nomenclature I mentioned. The following table is an example and is not complete and is based on my B&W Hero P2 study with several WMC Hero P2s filmed:
Finney P2 = FN
Unknown P2 = UK
Greg Jein P2 = GJ
Riley/Lenore = RL
also I used the following acronyms for the Hero P1s:
Most P1 = TMOST P1 - - just to fit the 4 letter designations other have been using for decades:
Nona P1
Jein P1
Lost P1 - - the fourth Hero P1 that also had Velcro on the left side for hanging P2s on gold belts and no jewel as the Jein P1.

I see no reason why the Hero P1s could not be swapped between the Hero P2s, after WMC "reworked" the props, just as they were swapped when they were B&W P2s to meet filming requirements - especially when the Hero P2s were being damaged in season 1 before "the highly accurate dummy phasers" were made by the Desilu Effects Department. I have never argued with the idea that P2s and P1s were made together. You see this clearly in the outtake shot of the "Unknown" P2 with the Nona P1 .
