Juggernaut Bio Sculpt - Started Painting!

I'm up in the air about it, just not sure about what to add in there. I may play around with the size of the round things too. One thing I want to not do is add too much to it and overdue the bio.

I say stay with the original picture, robs sketch, dont need to add hoses, the bio looks with attitude already i think hoses would make loose part of that attitude

Very nice work on this one, very close to the original concept.
I do see some parts that can be added, like the cheekbone needs to be a bit thicker and curved downwards (looking at robs drawing). Also, under the cheekbone, the part that comes up from the jawbone, is hidden under the part that comes under the cheekbone (it doesnt have that upper edge pointing out, the edge goes under the part that sticks out under the cheek)... if that makes any sense?

See I HATE the Celtic Predator's mask, but this...oh my god dude, this is one of my favorite looks. I know it's not your concept design but it looks exactly like the drawing.

Thanks for the comments guys, greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the insite CoolleKotton and made007. I agree, now that I've had more time to look at it I think the hoses would be a bit much for the overall concept. I have to adjust some things now that I took a step back for a few days. I have to get some gribbles for the inside of the round thing too.

Thanks for pointing out the areas CoolleKotton. Is the one area that you mention pointing out the part on the "nose" of the bio?

I've been really looking at the overall sculpt compared to the concept art and thinking about what some fellow members mentioned about the length of the snout compared to the concept art.

The dimensions as of not are:

Length: 19.5"
Widest part of crown: 12"
Widest part of cheek: 9.75"
From back of cheek to base of snout: 6"

From the base of the snout to the where the armature of the xdmray gen 1 half mask is about is about an 1" to 1.5". I'm really debating on trying to get it as close to the concept art as possible and bring back the snout 3/4" to an 1". In a way, I really like how the snout is somewhat close to the face of the bio in the concept. To me, if I left it as is it would look a bit more like the Celtic and AVPfan7662's Exile bio [which both are great bios].

As for the mask, eventually either after this sculpt or once I get a little more clay, I will either sculpt a P1 half mask or a P1 full mask to fit the bio and hopefully more.

Thanks for viewing and the comments, keep them coming - they're great help! I should get more time to work on him Monday night [possible Sun. night].

I'ts said a picture says more then a thousand words, so I tried to draw what I meant. Think we will get lost in translation otherwise.
Does this explain better?

With minor adjustments and opinions taken I believe you will get this to as close to accurate as possible. I would be intimidated to tackle such an intricately detailed bio, but you sir, you seem to have a firm hold on your capabilities and a confidence one needs to pull such a piece of work off.

I give praise where it is due.

Yeah its looking amazing, remember the good thing about working with clay, is that you can modify it and do wathever you want. :)

I think it looks great, I even like the color of the clay. The swirl design would be an original paint idea for sure!

Thanks for the comments everyone, greatly appreciate them and they help out a lot.

As for the clay...I'm not a fan of the marble look but I was way to anxious to start sculpting and will do a melt and mix of the clay after I'm done with the bio and two other sculpts get finished and molded. I have a crock pot, just need to figure out how to mix it correctly.

Small update!

Sorry that it's hard to see, but I tweeked some things on the left side of the bio. I adjusted the areas where CoollKotton mentioned as well as added some gribles and stuff on it as well. I shortened the jaw thing on the side of the bio, made the circle areas smaller, adjusted the angle back a little on the tubes coming from the cylnders, made the cylinders a bit thicker as well, and I brought the back of the jaw up too. I'm not going to over do the bio and going to try and leave it clean like the concept art. I think I'm getting closer to the concept art, or as close as I think I might get without bringing in the bottom of the snout.

I'm going to be molding the tri-laser unit, the hose adapter on the left side of the temple on the bio, and the two larger blade/hooks seperately from the bio since I think it would be easier. I'm in no rush, but I hope to have him molded and cast by the first week or two in July. Not sure what masks it might fit, perhaps the monsterroom and xdmray half masks and the dome looks like it might fit usurpers P2 mask too.

I really hope I do Rob and his artwork justice.

Onto the pics.

Thanks for the comments guys.

Made007.....it's Van Akin Plastina clay. What happened is that I had 20lbs of the darker color and went to buy 20 more pounds. I forgot to take a bit of the clay with me so I thought I bought the same color and when I came home I saw the difference and I was like "doh"!

Wow mate great work on this, epic skills !!!
I like the way the two clays mix, shows certain details more I think!!..
