.....and the silence is deafening or damning in this instance

Oh he's been on here again since then.

A further point. Given the 'extra' greeblies on a firing pin and more in that area, both pins are uneven at the top while one should be flat, and the imperfect corner at the bottom right of the OP's chamber, this looks like it may be a recast of Steve's 'V2' replica.

Since the OP has done a lot of work on this, and is thrilled with the outcome, the only unfortunate conclusions I can reach at this stage, are that either the OP is claiming work that is not his own, or he is recasting one of Steve's replicas himself. Possibly multiples to sell. Why else would he join the board to show off this replica only some days after selling it ?

Well, Alan, good job and thank you very much for the info. Still no response from the OP. Always sad to see this kind of stuff happen. :facepalm

Eesh, I didn't realize there was recasting business happening here..

The In The Line of Fire pistol is awesome, iconic, and such a rarely done prop. Aside from the limited run, was there never enough interest for another proper run?

If he still has the V1 mould (or maybe some remaining from the 20), Steve would be the one to be persuaded if there was enough interest I suppose :thumbsup

Well you never know he could come back and try and jedi-mind trick us but we know that won't work! :D
