I know people like to hate on his Batman movies, but St Elmos Fire, Lost Boys, Falling Down, and so many others are absolute classics. This guy is a legend. He made his mark.

His Batman films weren't great, but at least he had a clear vision and took a swing.
You don't see that often in today's bland film business.

The Lost Boys, A Time to Kill, Falling Down. Batman aside he did make some really great movies.

Such a shame. He had a great run of films, and regardless of people missgivings on his Batman movies, the production design on Batman Forever is superb.

I never realized he did Falling Down. I forgive him for the Batman films. Rest in Peace.
