They responded quickly and amicably, and say they will give me a full refund once they receive the returned item. I've sent it back to them via UPS with tracking, and will update once I receive the refund - it may have been a subpar transaction, but it looks like they're no thief at least.
 
What needs to be realized these items take time. Its not like you order and then its shipped off. It takes months to make this stuff, customize, paint or cast items. patients is a virtue with props. And people have other projects they are working on. I think it is very not appropriate to make a thread about someone's business name to bash them. That issue needs to be directed to the seller only and not to the public

They are a business who have been called out for bad communications and shoddy end product. I think you'll find that if you go to Amazon or plenty of other online outlets there is a feature for providing feedback. Why should prop buying be any different? I wouldn't buy from them after reading this thread, and I'm sure many other members wouldn't either. The guy is member here, yet he hasn't posted to explain his communications and product issues. Caveat emptor.

If you feel making a thread to point out an unsatisfied service for a specific purchase/ company then be my guest. That action is not allowed in other places. Bit if its allowed here then so be it.

It is very much allowed here and I for one am glad it is! It serves as a warning to others that might me considering making a purchase.

Wow! You think we don't realize how long or what's involved in making a prop??? Glad you're here to educate us in the whole three minutes you've been a member of this community! We KNOW how long it takes. So let me ask you, how long do YOU give someone before you realize you've been ripped off?
 
I give 3-4 months. And yes im new to this group but not to costuming. And the point of me posting on this thread was not to talk about time, but to point out a thread was used to bash a company.
 
:lol "Bash" a company? Do you feel this "bashing" is unwarranted? Do you feel people shouldn't be warned?
 
So they're just casting the armor pieces and charging you $1,000 for a paint job and they can't get that right? Yikes
 
It really takes no time to pour up a kit, building on the other hand will. I had never heard of them before, I made my order. All it was to be was a kit as a gift to a friend. They kept saying just 2 more weeks. This went on for a couple of months, and was for me, enough.
This is not a bash thread, but a warning to others.
As to other boards, they all have the same place to warn others of such things.
 
Do your self a favor and don't come back here.

If a community that watches out for it's own bothers you then I can assure you this is NOT the place for you

A sockpuppet is a second account used by the person who is in trouble or an account made by one of their friends to defend them and cause trouble.
