Jim Henson's Legacy has been kept alive by all of his children. They have all contributed in their special and unique ways. Brian is probably the most visible as a puppeteer, but even in the Disney video his sister is assisting him.
I always claimed that Kermit the frog was named in honor of Kermit Love who was a puppeteer who also had an influence on Jim Henson. He also did more commercial puppets, such as creating the Snuggles bear which he accompanied on a Nationwide Tour. I met Kermit Love when he was touring with the Snuggles puppet for the fabric softener. Before I met him, I had never met any person with the name of Kermit.
