It took a little time and some luck on ebay, but I have (almost) completed Matt Hooper's scuba gear...

The dive light is a Darrel Allen Bug-Diver 400. The US Divers knife was composed of 3 different knives to make the final screen accurate one (I'm sure the screen used knife was off the shelf, I just could not find one so I assembled it from the various parts). The dive gear is US Divers brand- Jetfin flippers, Aqua-Lung Wraparound mask (the modern version is all black, however the vintage has stainless steel trim). The tank (not quite accurate, this one is a 'Navy Mk. I', Hooper's was a 'Professional') I was real lucky to find the accurate tank pack with the black and yellow straps. A couple of Quint's beer cans just for fun. The Shark Dart is made by Farallon Industries, model "Magnum". It was the expensive part of the gear, over $300. The Neo Flasher is the old Vietnam era equivalent of the SDU-5/E (with original accurate battery cap and all orange/red body). Man, I love this movie.

The dart is an awesome thing, is it not?! Still looking for that 'Repeater' version that Hooper uses in the cage. That is a tough mudder to find. Does anyone have a Greener Harpoon Gun?

Nope, but I do have the dart and the original Martini-henry rifle that the harpoon gun was adapated from.

So the harpoon gun was modified from another rifle? I never knew that. I thought it was a manufactured harpoon gun from Greener.

Great work! Love it!

That harpoon gun is one of my favs. A beast to find. I saw the one that was on display at the JAWS ride in Universal Orlando (said with hand over heart) but have no idea if it was the actual screen-used piece or not. Still nice to see one. Probably never will again.

Anyone know of a way to produce stickers for the dive tank. Since the damn thing is so rare, I figured I could make my own with an Aluminum Scuba tank and print or buy labels for it. It won't be accurate but good for display (if I ever get into prop collecting/making). I can also buy an Aqua Lung Hard Back and proper Y-Valve for the tank, and regulator. I also found a label for said tank, but it's in black and yellow instead of blue, yellow, and black. I could probably fashion some labels and the "Aluminum Cylinder" decal for it as well. But does anyone have files that can be printed?
