Hi everyone, it may be a long shot but im looking for a walther PPK for halloween this year as im planning on going as james bond. Is there any replica kits or casts out there? would i be better buying the cheap and nasty looking toy ones ive seen around? any help would be great!

Bond preferred a .25 Beretta with a skeleton stock, in a chamois leather holster... but only if you're a fan of the books ;)

TBH, if it's just for Halloween, I'd suggest going with the toy one, painted up.

Are you sure you want to go walking round the UK with a replica pistol ? :confused

i know its not wise to be walking around withit butim gonnaspay some of itwith a bright colour to emphisise the "not real-ness" lol thanks for the tips guys!

I HIGHLY recommend forgetting the gun, the violent crime reduction bill is incredibly strict about anything that looks gun like, just painting the toy would be a crime !

see Wolf Armouries Airsoft Shop

"PLEASE NOTE THAT MODIFYING THESE UNREALISTIC IMMITATION FIREARMS TO MAKE THEM REALISTIC (i.e. SPRAYING OVER THE COLOURED AREAS WITH BLACK PAINT) IS AGAINST THE LAW"

posted late lol as long as its a bright colour your ok

i understand that, i was gonna spray it pink or orange tho... that still bad? maybe ill forget it... thanks for the advice anyway guys

Fleming switched him to the PPK at the beginning of Dr. No, so he had the PPK for about half of the books. So either one is correct.

I agree about the toy though, if it is just for Halloween, go with a painted up toy, otherwise you may run into a lot of problems with the UK laws.

Ah, but Bond didn't want to. M made him switch. :smartass smiley:

If you can already buy it as a brightly coloured toy in a shop, then it will be fine.

You can't even do that now. It's illegal to change the colour of a toy gun to make it appear 'realistic' :confused

The irony is you can buy a real deactivated ppk and dont even need id but you need a license to buy a crappy £10 spring bb gun if its black

Wod, I didn't know that. You guys really have it bad when it comes to collecting or even playing cops and robbers or cowboys and you know whats.

If you have to spray it bright pink I wouldn't bother with the gun. It would take away from the costume rather than add to it.

I would suggest instead of a PPK for your Bond costume.......... a replica Honey Ryder, ***** Galore, Tatiana Romanova, or you get my direction. More fun than the gun:love

Just lookout for Dixie Normous :lol

back on topic. Bond is a hard costume because without the gun or obvious gadget, you just look like a guy in a suit.

you could get a cheap bald cap and be Lex Luthor, It's a fairly easy & iconic costume :)

Bond is easy - Tuxedo, Martini, woman.

See if you can get a Aston Martin key blank from an Auto-Specialist Locksmith.

What will carry the impression off above all else is how you behave.
