james bond cars and diorama

hey all, anyone got any tips on making largish scale Bond cars, i'm thinking 1/6 scale ish - Aston DB5, Aston Vanquish, Lotus Esprit and Jag XKR ?

i.e what materials are best, balsa wood, foam filler, polyfiller etc...
and are there any large scale kits available please ??
