looks briliant buddy its gunna be awsome hehe ive put the mk 42 on hold at the min and have started my gemini instead only because im eagerly awaiting your awsome files hehehe but the helmet and boot is done on the mk 42 , also im trying to figure out how im gunna do the shins as there in a few pieces that arnt connected lol but so worth it man im gunna do you proud with these for sure

The helmet is very different. Gimpee has a good one out. Jackie is doing one when he gets to it.

I used the panels from a set of 7 ft high verticals window blinds. We used to have them across a sliding glass door. Short of buying a set of those blinds, I would suggest sheet styrene. I modded the foam templates to use the plastic.

It is flexible. I keep them rolled up when stored. It also helps them keep the ab shape. They look to be about 1/32" thick. I did use them to make hand armor once and I had to heat them to get the sharp bends.

Are you able to move comfortably with that unarticulated abs part? ...without breaking it?

[I'm using polyethylene foam, not resin ]

The top two ab plates are articulated. They slide and float against each other using foam "springs" and sliding guides. The lower 2 plates are rigid. Once painted, the entire assembly gets reinforced with a cage on the inside.

I love seeing your guys work it's amazing. Here's mine I used IMIM2, Helegak, and Gimpee's files. This is the 2nd time I worked on a iron man suit, but I managed to build up luster to post on the RPF. Im still learning as you can see my knees are a bit jacked up and for some reason I scaled wrong on either the abs or chest....or both

I'm curious what paint colors you guys are using or gonna use? I used Champane pearl, Toreador Red, and Silver Metalic Dupli color.
