Jackieisrockin's Iron Man Mk 42 Pepakura Files! Back added to first post!

how do you suit up the abs and cod ? tryn to determine where to split open and add velcro

best way (for me) to put velcro on the ab piece is on the back specifically in the spine area. . .even though i don't use velcro on mine because my cod and ab pieces are glued together to preserve the proportion and details

finally painted the ab piece . . .

well proportioned upper torso as of the moment. . .

i think yours is just fine, that space between the upper part of the abs and the chest is i think natural if you didn't apply the ab details

untitled.JPG

the part with the red circle is the detail, which i applied on my build (see the blue circle), thus it fits right and well proportioned to the chest with the same scale as the abs (jackieisrockin's files)

ahh ok cool trick...kinda like mk4/6 abs...the scale i used covers the top ab plate completely hopefully this will do the trick...thanx man

think ill just leave these here for you :) great files jackie :) gunna work on the abs now , but just a bit of a question should i use the same scale as the chest and back to keep it porpotionate

here ya go jackie your chest done in pep :)

Lookin awesome! :)

I've been a long time lurker and I just want to thank you for this. By far this is one of the best looking builds, and its in paper! You have inspired me to start posting, and taking some wip pictures as soon as I get started! This project really sparked my creative side. Thank you!

Thanks! Looking forward to your progress :thumbsup

thank you jackieisrockin for the awesome chest file :)

here's what i have painted in my suit so far. . .(this is a "file-hybrid" mk42, mixture of jackieisrockin and helagak files, majority of the files i used is from jackieisrockin since i started building this around May 2013)

Thats too awesome! Both are looking really cool

I think 5mm craft foam is cleaner and shapes better than any 1/4"-1/2" foam flooring.. compare the legs to trso. It's so much easier to work with.

Also, has anyone else had trouble with the inner ring on the chest piece? it doesn't fit right for some reason. I had to play with it for a while.

Ha that looks really cool! Really really clean!

i also have problems also with the inner ring, but after reunfolding the ring part and replacing the ring twice in the suit, here's what i've got

Yes the chest and back must be the same scale for proportions AND for them to fit together. Its looking really cool so far! Cant wait go see more!!! :D

Hey guys,

What are the ideal scales for the forearms, shins, and size 11 boots? I'm around 5'8-5'9. Any suggestions/tips/advice are greatly appreciated. Thank you...
