Jackieisrockin's IM3 Iron Patriot Pepakura Files! V2 files coming soon!

Re: Jackieisrockin's Iron Patriot (IM3) Pepakura Files! Links in first post! Neck add

Jackie, just to confirm, the upper torso, lower torso, and neck piece ALL NEED TO BE THE SAME SCALE so that they fit together properly? My understanding is that there is some lee-way with the helmet size, but these other three pieces jigsaw puzzle together and require the same scaling.
The suit looks great so far! :eek

Yes you are absolutely correct those 3 files MUST be the same scale to fit together properly :)

Nice Job, Jackie.

Did anyone notice in the American Flag photo, IPs LEFT Inner Elbow Armor is BENT?

(Clearly Plastic) - They need to do a better job of spotting that stuff when filming.

What does this mean- the right scale? Was the first helmey scale off? Thanx GM

Re: Jackieisrockin's Iron Patriot (IM3) Pepakura Files! Links in first post! Neck add

done. BUT i think i done gooped and didnt scale it right because its very bobbly on my head. i understand this helmet gives a wider impression than the im helmets, but im thinking its too big. eye separation widths and face plate dimensions are on par with my im helmet. so im hoping i can tweak the jaw and use dowels to bring the helmet inwards to give it a slimmer look, and just hope it doesnt look like poo on me after ive resined it, etc etc.

Based on the default scale being for an 6'8.5" person and Jackieisrockin's personal measurements, I came up with some estimations for scaling. I'm not sure how accurate these are as I haven't tested these. I only crunched the numbers in a spreadsheet. Anyway, it should at least give you some reference points to start from. lmk if it helps at all; first time trying this.:facepalm

Re: Jackieisrockin's Iron Patriot (IM3) Pepakura Files! Links in first post! Neck add

If you guys are having problems with the scaling then pay attention to this.

If you look in the attributes, Jackie's default "assembled" size is height- 267mm; width- 187; depth- 241. However, that isn't the actual size of the default assembled size, but the size of the "box". Check out the attached pic- Point to Point measurement -"assembled" width is 178.77 and that's the outmost part of the helmet (inside temple to temple is 153.89).

My head is 23 3/4 circumference and I need the inside (temple to temple) with of 165mm. So for me to fit the helmet properly, I had to change the width to 199mm (height-288mm; depth- 260mm)

So Torx, you said your assmebled helmet looked to bobblehead. How did you manipulate your scale/attributes?

I checked those out and it's pretty close, but not the right way to use (assuming this is for the torso).

The 425.232 is the outmost width (green line-check the attached pic). So if you guys want to get the right fit, then you have to consider the size of the lower opening of the upper torso (yellow line) according to the size of the outmost depth of the lower torso. I measured the default depth of the Torso and it's approx. 381mm in depth.

So with Jackie's scale the "inside" mesurements are width-339.63; depth-346.58.

I'm also 5'7" and the inside width that I have to use is 305mm (measured with chest expanded) with the lower torso fitting in it. The scale factor is 379.19226.

I think somnambulus was only measuring by height, as did i for my scale. When i made my Mk VI, i imported the back, chest, abs, and cod and just measured the height and scaled it to me, which worked out just fine, so i did the same thing here
