Hi everyone! This is my Spawn costume.
Entry Picture

Description: The costume is divided in three parts/process:
- Body suit: From a mold of my entire body, I made the suit using latex and foam.
- Armor: I made it out of foam, and the spikes with resin.
- Cape/shroud: latex covered fabric and foam for the structure. The cape is divided in 3 parts.
The base is an handcrafted latex suit, formed with the help of a plaster mold of my body. The applied muscles are cuted out of foam. They are giving the volume to the suit (I`m skinny). The following step was cover everything with additonal layers of latex to get an extra texture. I wanted to create a organic and at the same time burned look for the muscles, because Spawn is a living being in the comic . So I made the fiber details on every muscle and a latex cover, which includes some "dirty" texture. The mask was sculpted with clay and casted out on latex. I sculpted two types of spikes and made a lot of copies for the foam armor. The entire cosplay was painted with different coats of color to get the wanted lights and shadows. Finally i added led lights to the mask. Three months of hard work.

Thanks!!! (and sorry for any mistake in the text. I`m spanish speaker
