Is this Stormtrooper mold story just Propaganda?

Its obvious that your duplicate molds have never touched the inside of a real screen used helmet, as you have never owned a real screen used stormtrooepr helmet. That is the lie. You should ammend your story accordingly to make this clear :unsure

I never said that my duplicate molds touched the insides. Why would they? That doesn't make sense.
I never said I owned a screen used helmet.
And that's a lie how??
.

Sorry i did not make myself clear.

I intended to make sure it was obvious that you didn't own an actual screen used helmet or cast molds from an actual screen used helmet yourself; and that your duplicate molds by your own admission that you did use to make your helmets had not touched the inside of a screen used helmet. So your prop story that leads people to believe your helmets are made from molds that touched the inside of screen used helmets is false.

The lie is the claim from you that the helmets you show off on your own site are made from molds that touched the inside of screen used helmets.

That's the be all and end all of this topic. Not who has the most accurate, better built helmet or who sold or stole what from whom.

You are the king of mis-direction, you must be teflon coated :lol

Gino has said for a LONG time now that he wont be selling anymore helmets to the public...

Good thing you can go to SDS.com and get helmets made from "THE ORIGINAL MOLDS" :lol:lol:lol:lol

I think its hillarious that some of you who are trying to call Gino a liar are avid AA supporters...

Do you have eyes? Have you seen star wars? Like... at least once?

You honestly think Gino's helmets dont have more pure of a lineage? Seriously? Have you looked at the bottom where the neck trim is on the SDS? :sick It looks better than the MR... but not by much.

And Gino HAS STATED FOR YEARS THAT HIS MOLDS ARE DUPLICATES. Maybe his wording is unclear on his site... but at most he is guilty of being unclear about his own personal property... I didnt see an "add to cart" on his page...

AA on the other hand...

Now thats something else. :angel

****** Almighty i would not **** on AA if he was on fire. Is there anything lower than taking credit for the work of a dead artists work?

And imho his helmets look like ****e :(

I didn't mean you, glad you can see it! They REALLY do.

And yes, taking credit off of a dead artists work is umm... lower than about anything I can think of.

Unless it's Led Zepplin, who stole tons of blues riffs/songs to make their music. That is the ONLY exception! :angel :lol

my crotch touched the inside of a screenused blade trenchcoat. Gino could have literally touched his molds to the inside of the helmet....

absolutely the statement is misleading. Absolutely many people can infer one thing - and others who have done their hw and research will know the truth.

Do you guys give your insurance companies, car dealers and credit card companies this much grief? I mean - when you buy something shouldn't you do your own research? There's fine print everywhere; ebay, leases, contracts, credit cards, TV infomercials (you really think that slap chop really chops so well?! :lol).... Caveat Emptor people. Just because it wasn't apparent to google Gino's helmets and get the fine print doesn't mean that you have to crucify him now. It seems like many people on this thread knew before this thread was started that he used duplicate molds. So that leads me to believe that the information was out there. (if not, then this thread will serve as another reminder).

At most I feel this thread just gives newbies (and oldies) a reminder that you had better scrutinize every word of a description before you plunk down around a grand. (did that really need to be said?)

So what if you guys have made your point that his molds are duplicates?

This thread has also made it pretty clear that Gino still has the best helmets available and that he has some sort of direct lineage to the original helmet. Since that wasn't disputed I think the price of his helmets would actually increase because the longer this thread persists and the more people invariably dance around the fact that his helmet is the best.

I don't even own a stormtrooper helmet and I have to say that I am SO pissed that I didn't pick up Gino's helmets in the junkyard last year or so. Now I feel like I'm stuck choosing from inferior products. :cry

This is what, as a non stormtrooper expert, has learned from this thread.

Epic Movie...
BAM!
Exactly right.
It's just an FX helmet that I wore as an extra in "Epic Movie"
It's also been on "Bones", The Rose Parade, "Deal or no Deal", an "Orange" commercial (Cingular in the UK), and numerous spots for G4tv.
It holds more sentimental value than anything else, but definitely not worth a grand.

My post was made to illustrate a point.
Everything I said was indeed factual.
However, it was intentionally misleading.
If I had more practice and was better at spinning yarns, I could possibly rip people off and chock it up to "semantics" and people making assumptions.

OK Gino freely admits that his molds are not the "touched the inside" molds
but what he seems to dodge every time its asked is why say they are on his own website, and this is not misinterpretation its written there in black and white! maybe this will all end if he would like to just change that false claim ( i think we have established now that it is false so im not making a radical accusation) and admit that he was wrong to make the false claim in the first place.
BTW Gino ive had a good look at your site and there are some very nice pieces there that is a fine collection.

Exactly.

Correct that, set the record straight, is it really that big deal for you?

Is it THAT hard to read a staff statement and take it to heart ?

All parties have been asked to keep it civil. And those who´d like to just state an opinion were asked to keep out of this thread if they don´t have anything of value to add. This of course includes NOT beating a dead horse or regurgitating arguments.

This thread is going under review.

Until then it will stay locked.

UPDATE 01/22/10 - The thread will be opened up again tomorrow.
If there are any valid questions regarding this thread, feel free to send me a pm.
