Is this Stormtrooper mold story just Propaganda?

Wrong in your belief that I lied.

As far as the HDPE goes, I'll post pics soon enough that illustrate my point, but it won't be in this thread.

Beleif ?? its plain for anyone who goes and spends time reading the threads out there that you span a whopper about your mold.

And as for the HDPE goes post all of the photos you want i know for a fact that the calendered HDPE parts we received were smooth on both outside and inside, ok they wernt glass smooth but they did not have any kind of rough finish to them and they had not had any kind of finishing work done to them after they were formed.

GINO, I'm really sorry for this question, but have you ever showed pictures of your molds? A large view?

I guess that it would certainly help to close this discussion? And to be honest, I would be very interested to see how must be a mold. Because I agree with the fact that recasting is bad, but sculpt our own helmet without good and correct references, it's really hard.

Carsten, I was referencing TPD and FISD from a historical standpoint of allowing bashing threads about me to exist while I was not there. Not just necessarily in this most recent instance.
I was trying to point out the hypocrisy of the guy who said it was bad form of me to discuss a banned member, and in my defense, I was merely saying that I have been (and am) the topic of threads on these forums while being a banned member. I just mentioned the names of the forums where it historically took place. Both before this incident as well as including this incident.
Ah, thanks for the clarification. :thumbsup

I've shown more than I'm already comfortable with.
As it made absolutely no difference (as I predicted) I am already regretting it.

It may not sway those speaking up... but it is there to show all those who don't. Just a general observation about the point of posting pictures to prove a point.

Stay on target: pretty helmet, moulds misrepresented. That is not even a recasting issue. It's simply a lie. Admitting it is hard for you, but necessary to make things right with the world. You obviously have no fear of being punished, so what have you got to lose by telling the truth?

I don't see why this is getting so personal. Regardless of whether there was a lie told or not, it is still the best trooper helmet I have ever seen.

I don't own one, but if I did pay big bucks for one (or less with a signed confidentiality/non-disclosure/non-recast/never-to-be-sold agreement, which I would do to get one, *hint Gino :) ), I would not feel cheated in any way shape or form.

Unless someone who actually purchased one has an issue, which I have not seen in this thread, then I believe there are bigger problems in the world people.

Hey, I am all for people having respectful discourse over the issue at hand, but drop the personal attacks. This continued course will not be tolerated... so stay on target... whatever that means with the progression/degression of this thread.

That Nero picture is very funny. Lol.:lol

Ultimately, are the buyers happy with their helmets?

How many times have we heard 'cast from screen used' in regard to a 3rd or 4th generation copy of a piece? Furthermore, I understand that GINO had publically stated that his mold's were duplicates in a thread dating to 1997?

The point, I suppose, is whether that fact was represented to the individuals who purchased the helmets?

Well, as "close friends", I assume that people knew what they were buying? Is that the case Gino?

Still, it's been an educational and entertaining thread - but a thread always destined to end in stalemate.

I read that in my head in Jeremy Brett's voice. :lol

You can say I lied as many times as you want. You can repeat it as many times as you want.

But that doesn't make it true, and anyone who goes back and reads my posts can clearly see that. I don't know how I could be any more clear than I already have been.

Watch out for that pipe!

Its not important if his customers are pleased in this thread. More important is what he has said about his casts.

And as you can see, and even further supported, I have been clear in multiple instances about the ANH being mold duplicates.

.

How can I have lied, when it has been shown in multiple instances, in multiple forums where I was VERY clear about it?
Because you interpret as such in my propstory?

How can that possibly make me a liar?

It can't. And it doesn't.
What we are seeing here now is certain people trying to save face in the midst of them being proven wrong.

.

Its obvious that your duplicate molds have never touched the inside of a real screen used helmet, as you have never owned a real screen used stormtrooepr helmet. That is the lie. You should ammend your story accordingly to make this clear :unsure

If that was directed at me, I didn't imply that you lied Gino.

I'm asking if the buyers knew what they were buying, is all.

If they DID, it's game over. If they didn't, then this thread was neccessary.

Nope. Not you Al.
Posts happen faster than I can get mine out and unless I quote the person it can look like I am responding to someone that I'm not.
That was the case with you.

I never said that my duplicate molds touched the insides. Why would they? That doesn't make sense.
I never said I owned a screen used helmet.
And that's a lie how??

If it will make you feel better, I can come up with an actual real lie that perhaps you might be more comfortable with.
I can say that I sculpted my molds from scratch, yet they still unbelievably look just like they were derived from original pieces. And then I can sell them to you and all your friends without being called a recaster.
Better?

Let me give this a try...

F/S - Screen-used Stormtrooper helmet $1000
I have in my possession a screen-used Stormtrooper helmet.
It was seen onscreen and I can provide a screengrab for comparison .
Don't miss the chance to own this extremely rare item that is a part of film history.
To be crystal clear-
I am not offering a casting of this helmet, I am offering you the actual helmet itself.
PM me for Paypal info

Everything I said above is absolutely 100% true.
Not just because I say that it is, but because it is.
