If you start this I would love to see the detail!
Very excited, what do you imagine you will use...foam,plastic or clay?

i was leaning more towards foam mats as clay would be expensive, and i'd need to make a form to work on. it'll be a while before i start yet, i'm moving house in the next month or so!

That thing is cool. If he isn't a member on here you'll have to get in touch another way.

Try getting in touch directly through Deviant. He may reply.
Although, to make it would be extremely difficuly by the looks of things and if it was made from Pep it could take a while :p

That is awesome! Thanks for posting this. I always love seeing new armor suit designs.

are you going to scratch build this, or are you trying to get him to give you the 3d model so you can pep it?

i don't know if i could do it in pep :D i'm just wanting to see if i can make it, foam mats would be the easiest option for me. i have access to loads of glue and stuff, and a place nearby that sells the camping mats for fairly cheap. i've tried him on deviantart, might try his website.

Looks like that guy grabbed the terran marine model from starcraft 2 and then modified the chestplate, replaced the helmet, and tweaked some of the back and arm details.
Everything on the torso from the bottom of the chestplate down is almost identical to the blizzard model.

speedy: i take it you just look at pics and post a comment? :D i have no idea, but it seems that baron has the closest idea to where it's from.

still nothing from the guy, if you're right baron, i may just go ahead and start making patterns for it.

It is nice to have his blessing, but I don't think it should stop you if he doesn't reply.

My vote is for you to proceed.

looks like a modified space marine?

I've spent alot of time looking at the Space Marine Model, this model is obviously inspired by it and uses alot of the same design ideas and feel, Especially in the legs. But it's a very different model overall, despite having some design similarities.

lol. well i have a hard time keeping up with things here on theRPF, i'm not too used to forum boards minus the FISD. :p

i saw barens comment, but though the starcraft2 comment was kinda helpful, i thought that maybe the tweaks mentioned might mean it was from something else... :confused haha. sorry, a lil bit of a n00b

all good chief :)

saber, i like your opinion. i'm gonna start pricing up foam mats and glue etc, i really do want to make this.

The guy is a regular poster on ZbrushCentral.

Quoted from the thread linked:

For the design, it was heavily influenced by the Marine and Firebat from Starcraft 2

Simply creating a user account at ZbrushCentral and shooting him a PM seems like the quickest/easiest route..
