Is there such a thing as light proof paint?

I am making a small prop that uses a USB stick with an operating light, cast into clear resin. There are small crystals at the end of the prop that I want the USB light to light up. The trouble is that when the prop is painted the light bleeds through the paint. I don't want to use twenty coats of paint as this will fill up fine detail so I was wondering if there was such a thing as really dense paint that will stop the light.

A lot of the Trek modelers use silver paint as a light blocker.

You could try applying Bare Metal foil...it is very thin, does not hide details, but is light proof. Varoius finishes are available and you can paint over it.

Lots of folks spray silver which reflects the light back then paint over it. Works pretty well. Other folks use black and it also works pretty well. There will be some areas that require top treating with your base color though. Sometimes it's just too thin and shows through.
