Thinking about making some Solo blasters and was wondering if Denix was the most accurate replica. Is it the only one? Thanks,

John

You could keep an eye out for a bronze casting or a deact. There were some fantastically accurate kits in the 70's where all of the features of the guns worked. I had a .44 Automag and it was a mix of metal and plastic parts all screwed and fitted like the actual weapon.

I have one of the kits Raffles is talking about. It was made by a company called "LS" from Japan. (I'm 99% sure that's the name.)
From what I've read, the LS models were cast from MGC Mausers. MGCs are more rare than Denixes, but they're more true to an actual C96.
I know that Odiwan72 had several MGCs for sale last year. Dunno if he has any left. Might be worth a PM to find out.

For those who did not know already: Most of the "Hero" DL-44 blaster props in Star Wars were made from MGCs, so for those blasters they are accurate as you can get.
