Hi all,
Curious if anyone has experience with Studio Auctions. I was thinking about bidding on some of their stuff from Star Wars but they do not really give many details. Legit company?

Private group unfortunately.

Comparison between the Luke mando saber sold by SA in 2024 and the Goldin/SA in 2025. Ignoring the lighting (or paint differences), the main body base design, buttons, etc appear to be very different from each other.

Wait - hold up - the Luke saber on the left and right were supposed to be made at the same time for the same production? They don't look anything alike?

Only difference acknowledged in the latest listing is material - 2024 rubber over armature, 2025 resin over armature.

The 2024 rubber, along with another resin that seems to me closer in form to the 2024 (offered in March and again in June by GWS Auctions), were briefly discussed - mostly skeptically - in the Luke's Mando lightsaber thread starting here:

I hereby certify that the Christopher Reeve "Superman" Set of

(2) Fortress of Solitude Crystals from Superman II (Goldin lot

81) was acquired by myself from a Superman collector in Florida. He stated to me that he purchased them from a member of the production and that they were made for and used in production.

Bloke down the pub said these props are totally from the movie. He even crossed his heart and hopes to die if he's not telling the truth.
