Is anybody interested in a "business" partnership...?

Thanks Jmtwo (both for your opinion and for the update ;) )

Also, if anyone want to see something mentioned in a movie, book, comic or whatever, but never showed before, post its description here... It could be everything (an artifact, an ancient relic, a weapon, a device... Everything.), thanks. :)

Yes, I do like 'inspired' props...

I think anything Blade Runner would go over well, as would something from Star Wars or Firefly. They seem to be the most receptive to 'expanded universe' type props.

OK :)
Now, since I'm not too much into SW or BR (nobody is perfect. :lol ), there are any props only mentioned (or simply non-canon) that you want to see?
If so, please, drop me a line here (or via PM) with a (very) small description, so I can have something to use...
About Firefly (and Serenity), well, I know both quite well :D
So, what do we need? new guns, communicators (why not?), documents and varius product labels, anything else? Maybe we can "promote" these new Firefly and BR props with the help of Noeland (a couple of short movies are not a bad idea, I can do some SFX... ;) )
Ok, now I'm going back to my desk to work on a couple of ideas (I've alredy sketched a BR blaster a little more "bad" while I was writing this message... :D )...

Soon :)

For SW, I'd think just about any original lightsaber design would have a chance — odds are good that anything that's even mentioned in passing has been covered in RPGs, videogames, comics, or by fans. I figure you could try some SW-esque blaster designs, or perhaps a local currency coin / chit. Han tosses something to the cantina barkeeper, but we can't really see any details. The production almost certainly used a coin, maybe a British coin they had handy. I think we see a credit chip in one of the Visual Dictionaries, but that's prequel stuff, perhaps not even made for the production. Actually, I believe Kyle Katarn's Bryar pistol has a decent fan following for a non-major prop.

As far as BR goes, you could try about anything. Blaster designs, car keys, money, the Vid-Phon card (we never see the back), cell phones.

I recommend you watch the movies and look at as much production art as you can, to get a feel for the design styles.

Not that there's anything wrong with original, film-independent creations :)

That phaser-y thing you posted seemed to get a good response.

Let me know if you want to see some currency, coin, or Vid-Phon card designs.

Ok, I've made this sketch for a New York based BR blaster (don't ask me why NY)...
Here you can see the blue grips and leds (and a different but still recognizable barrel/cover), and a different kind of magazine and details...

Well, let me know :) (Now I'm thinking at some lightsaber ideas...)

Ooo. Fun. Sporty :D

Looks good to me.

Actually reminds me of two things: the blue police guns from Fifth Element and a custom BR gun someone showed a while ago — all chrome with translucent blue grips.

Damn.

I was sure it was original (damn blue grips...

LOL :D )
Well, I could aways try another color...

Hey, there's nothing wrong with it.

... Suppose you could try transparent or opaque black grips, or gray...

If you wanted.

Hey all, havent been here for a bit . Just saw this post and most certainly count me in for this. I still have a thing to clear up with Franz Bolo and we are talking about it so everything is good there. I just have to wait for them to renew my JY status (mods--you getting this??)

But at any rate, we are in for whatever we can help with. We are looking at more runs of Knucks soon too and other things so just interest here for that now.

lets rock and roll.

Thanks Mike,
I was thinking at something easy to pull it off from a lathe and a CNC machine (so it will be easier for ust to make one).
What kind of Lightsaber could sell better?
An original trilogy style or a new trilogy one? (So I can do a little research and develop something appealing for the fans. ;) )

Thanks again :)

Mmmm ... I think there are more fans of the original trilogy than the new trilogy... I think the odds of a success would be better...

Here are some crude sketches I did years ago for a William Gibson inspired cyberspace deck:

More sketches of other stuff soon.

I'm interested in the currency and VidPhon cards... :)
The desk is a real desk or is it a sort of laptop? ("Cyberpunk" isn't so easy for me... :D )

The cyberspace deck is a stand-alone machine for VR internet interfacing...

...Hard to explain...

"...the direct brain-computer interfaces required for high-speed access to the cyberspace representations of the global computer network."

Ever seen Johnny Mnemonic? Kinda like that...
