Iron White Ranger (WIP-Concept)

Idea for shoulder armor
half iron man, half mass effect n7

That would work with the the movie version of the white ranger so well.

Red Ranger was Stealth not Seancoleman...

Sean are you going with the neck armor or traditional mmpr turtle neck?

I meant that were you going to attempt something similar to that project but only in the style shown here, like in the batman suit style.

Shoulder designs look good, definitely has the right feel to it, and it has plenty of potential for being a very good design.

Holly freaking crap!!! Oh man this is an epic project!!! I haven't been this excited since I saw the real tactical bat suit! I'm all over this!!

Stealth, great combination.

UPDATE

Added the shoulders to the new chest design

Don't know If I should make the shoulder armor a bit bigger
or make the bottom part of the shield shorter
or does it look okay as is

I think if u dropped the circle down a bit just above center and added the gold trim in black around it it would look good. Like the shoulders too.

This is going to be epic.

Now that I know the basic design I'm using, I'm going to draw out different versions with how the gold trim in the middle can go, the coin design and if I can add some subtle black trim to the gold shoulders

add a bit more to the design then just being black and gold

I'm really loving this design and am super excited. I haven't stopped sketching for days

Dude, for the under suit you should have segmented padding sewn or glued into it, kinda how dark knight armor would look with a spandex skin. I think that would keep it simple but have a continued armor feel without distracting. And if it were weathered it could have a really nice effect.

I was thinking about that, plain white spandex might look too plain with the armor.

Ill have to look into different types of under suits

Cool thread!

Some of my first moulds and casts I made were power ranger coins (I made a set of Ninja coins along with the Dragon and Tiger coins) so nice to see the PR love.

I'll be following your progress eagerly :thumbsup

UPDATE

I tweaked the shield to add the gold in the middle around the coin
the gold is a layer under the black

threw it into photoshop for another horrible coloring

I really like this design, adds to the armor look breaking it apart with the gold

Now I need to design the back and the shield will be done!!!....for now

I like how the suit from the movie has that formed leather look to it. If you added some sewn padding in your spandex you might be able to pull something close to that off.

UPDATE

I always seem to try and make things more complicated then they should be

I kept sketching the back armor with more armor then needed and pointless bits and pieces

So finally I went simple. Simple is key
I wanted the back of the shield to flow with the front

So here is my idea for the back of the shield armor

The white middle and edges will be gold of course
