2-19-2014 UPDATE: Everyone has there Titan so so the re-paint phase starts today and will end on 3-20-2014 or sooner if everyone informs me that there Titan is done
You may post progress pics in this thread.
Thanks
I'm hooked on Iron Man Hot Toys and I have a neat concept that will require 9-13 of the Hall of Armor Bays.
But it’s going to take me a looong time to get enough figures to fill all those bays so I came up with a contest
I’m going to host an Iron Man Armor Painting Contest
If selected, I will provide you with one of those inexpensive 12” Iron Man Titan Figures

You pick one of the five below listed Armors and have 30 days to paint it once you receive your IM Titan
The winner will be selected by the members of the RPF
First Place is a trophy and $50 cash
I have the option to BUY your painted armor back from you for $25.
I know, that doesn’t sound like a lot but I’m hoping you do this more for the fun then the money.
Here are the Armors
I disassembled a Titan to make a Mark 2
Here is what I did:
1. Grasp the body with both hands and use your thumb to pop of his head
2. Use a chisel type blade on an Exacto knife to cut the soft pin that attached the legs and arms.
I rock the knife back and fort slowly and I push with medium pressure.
Be careful because if you pus to hard the blade can snap
That’s all it takes.
The head just pops back on with considerable force.
I used a 1/2 dowel rod and some screws to reattach the arms and some screws (as pins that I epoxied in place) to reattach the legs

I use screws and epoxy to reattach the limbs

Thanks
