I have been giving the selling thing some thought as I now am more comfortable with my capabilities. Based on time and material costs something like this helmet would be @$700. There is little out there to compare against, but the few stained glass sculptures I have found of similar size are usually over $1000.
I hang out in a lot of artist's/crafter's communities, and the typical "formula" that we came up with as a consensus is:
(cost of materials x 3) + (hours of work x fair wages) = cost of piece
With the hours of work and fair wages, you have to be flexible because obviously when you're first learning a craft you're going to be slower. The materials x3 is to cover the costs of what's in the piece, and replacing them for your shop to make the next piece, and costs that might be harder to pin down like electricity to run your soldering iron and lights, etc.
People often forget to figure those things in.
Having worked with stained glass, I'd say your price is right in the ballpark.
ETA: And consider making shipping separate, and add that cost in after you know who's purchasing it. Insuring and shipping a glass piece to Australia from the states is going to be a vastly different proposition than shipping from Maine to Texas, for example.
