Iron Man reveal electronic faceplate (pic heavy, vid too)

Uuuuuh thank you guys....

Without the great kit from Vash, I would have never been able to build this display.

That's awesome. Personally, I would probably relocate the red power LED to the rear of the base(so you cant see it from the front) and gone with a 9v wall wart so I didn't have to worry about batteries.

I hate power supplies. The cable hanging out from the back don't look to good. And you are always limited to display the piece near an outlet.

My Randy Cooper SD features 61 LEDs (including CREE LEDs). I powered this one through a 3 Cell custom made 11.1 V lipo pack (although I implemented a plug for a wall mount - which I never used). It's running for hours.

Mostly you switch the little thingies on when you have friends visiting, so the packs will suffice I think.

Thank you for the idea!! (y)thumbsup:thumbsup
i would definitely will do the same if i could afford a kit!
can you explain it a little bit more how the eyes can lit up?!:love:thumbsup

Well you have the controller with a plug and the light sheet with also with a plug. It's really that simple.

That is truly an incredible build. I would be as happy with that as a screen used one..yeah I said it!

Hi Thomas

You´ve done it again...GREAT build my friend :cool:thumbsup

Is the facemask another joint-venture of you doing all the buildup and your wife doing the wonderful paintjob?

If only we´d live closer to ea. other...I´d have TONS of projects, where I could need your services. Oh well:confused

Now hurry up and finish the star-destroyer and sandcrawler, so me and Michael have some new stuff to drool over next time, when we come over :lol

But remember, you´ll have to visit us in cologne first ;)

Again...GREAT JOB!!!

Markus

That's incredible! I can't quit looking at it. That is the definition of prop replica.

I love the comments on your youtube video.
