Honestly, how can you pick just one!? Multiple suits and an entire armory of them is what makes Iron Man IRON MAN! Iron Man doesn't have a definitive look, he sheds suits like clothing! But.......if I had to pick just one (from the movies) I have to say the War-Machine armor! I love the petruding BADASSERY of the shoulder canon and wrist blasters! Have to throw MK VI as a close 2nd. The triangular Arc represents a more modern look from the comics.

Wow looks like a lot of people like the mark 7! Probably because it's his most advanced traditional Red/Gold suit. It looks very aerodynamic for flight and brings back the shape of the mark 3 I suppose.

I'm very curious to why the 42 wasn't red/gold in a way like this edited photo

my favourite is the Mark VI. Because it was in both Iron Man 2 and the Avengers. Oh and that Triangle Chest piece of the 'new element'.

Reason was they wanted an iron man suit that was visually extremely different from Tony's previous suits yet still distinguishably Iron Man. So we got smakced with vanilla coke iron man

MARK 3 is the best hands down!

MARK 1, understandable, you were in a cave. MARK 2 is just as cool as MARK 3 (its just colorless). Everything After MARK 3 is a confusing, I can't see where you are going with this? why are you repeating to make really bad sequels, Bruce Willis please stop it and just Die Hard already! Nicolas Cage if you find one more National Treasure, I swear to God!...
Anywho, After Mark 3 the suits have lost their form, function and look like cheap toys.

Poptabartist: the cartoon/comic did a better job of explaining the need for all the different suits. First: stopping mandarin from attaining rings of power. Second, beating various marvel foes... Third, battling various natural disasters. There was also research....... etc...You are correct that the movies do a really crappy job explaining this... Instead he is just obsessed with building more.

Not sure I agree with you on this about the other suits.

With the exception of the mk 42 suit, that is. (I love the helmet, hate the suit)

But, mk 3 is the best!
