I agree. Mark 3.

I love it because it looks REAL. The classic colors really sold it to me, too. But a lot of the others, like mk7 and mk5 don't seem to look as real. They look like Hollywood CG. To me, mk 3 looks like a real suit.

I think I remember an interview where Downey said a lot of Iron Man (2008) was shot with him actually wearing the suit. Obviously there was CGI in the film, but not as much as the newer Iron Man films.

I'm leaning towards the War-Machine. I like the bulky more pronounced features of the armor. You can never go wrong with the black and silver...GM

Yeah that's what I was about to say. It was more practical than computer generated. That's what I miss about movies these days. Like the orcs and goblins in the hobbit were C.G. rather than actual handmade suits as they were in the LOTR trilogy.


Although, they do use most of the chest region in the other movies.

For me, as well as a lot of other people, I feel the first Iron Man movie was the most grounded. Granted, it is a super hero movie, but I feel like the plot was natural and "flowing" than any of the others.

Well, that and the suit ups. Mark 3 suit up was EPIC imho! I know that it's ALL fiction, but you could'a had me fooled with the mark 3 suit up, looks so real when you pay serious attention to it.

Exactly. I also loved the score by Ramin Djawadi (Prison Break, Game of Thrones, Pacific Rim, Clash of the Titans.) I don't understand why they didn't bring him back for 2 and 3.

Mark 3 and War Machine. The one I really didn't care for was mark 42, it was kinda ugly and didn't seem to natural looking. Iron Patriot is cool, but like James Rhodes said "War Machine rocks"

No doubt! The mark 5 helmet was one of the coolest things I've ever seen!
I only wish it was possible to pep one and make it do that!!! And you gotta love that metallic "ting" it makes when the suit up sequence finishes.

I completely agree. Oddly enough, however, I think the mk 42 helmet is the BEEZ KNEEZ!

Downey wasnt in the suit that much in IM1. There was less CGI. But im sure the extras on blu ray show a different guy wearing it when no face was needed. Unless I drempt it....

I didn't like the Mk 42 when I first saw clips, but after watching is in action ...kinda like the Aluminum Falcon for me
