Iron Man MK V proyect

While the toy can help, I'd focus on the actual movie suit, atleast until it's finished, THEN go back, and check the movements/flexibility.

There are certain details that get lost, as far as the Action Figures go... That's why I'd focus on screen captures of the movie.

Sure, 100 % agree folk, I think the internal parts that hold the suit will not affect or touch the body that is inside the suit, find a space of 10 to 15 cm. between the body and the rigid parts of the armor, the internal parts of the skeleton are set 5 mm., which I think also the manufacture of aluminum, water jet cutter 3d, speeds up work and finish is perfect.

agree'd! hot toys are insanly accurate but there are some inaccuracy there and there

awesome progress !

I have to do a short break, I'm restoring a 47 knucklehead and I have all the parts to start assemble it, I estimate that in 1 week I will be back to this topic, I finished the bottom of the leg and boots, it only remains to internal parts to unify entire set, I do not really reach the day to work and my private things, I need that the day has 36 hours :facepalm.-

Thank you, really I'm near to finish but I need finish something was interrupted 1 year ago before, 47 old school knuckle :cool.-

Hope that dlowrider will not be angry with me sharing my model.
The day before I had some free time, so I've started to modell the suitcase. Hope you like it. I couldn't find enough high res pictures, but tried to do my best. If anyone have some idea to make it better, please tell me!

Looks good. :thumbsup My reccommendation would be to HYPERNURB it. Sometimes called SMOOTHING, where you turn a low poly model into a SUPER-HIGH poly one.

It smooths all the edges, and makes it look a little more "REAL".

I still have some finer-details on mine to finish.

... space of 10 to 15 cm. between the body and the rigid parts of the armor, like I say before, the armor not touch any part of the body, only hands and feets, then all the the set is supported by the internal skeleton between the body and the rigid parts of the armor, leaving easy any movement.
Really I have a lot of work and particular things, but almost the design is ready and early begin building; (half leg and boots).

I'm incredibly impressed.

A couple weeks ago, when talking about making iron man costumes, my friend jokingly said he would never be happy until I made a MK5 which fit into a suitcase. Since then I've been looking into the mechanics of how to make it 'properly', then I came across this thread.

What you have achieved is remarkable.

It looks like you're working on the suit then figuring out how to fold it down, am I right?
I'm planning on doing it the other way, working out the mechanisms & methods of folding it down, then work that through the design.

Seeing this is a brilliant inspiration, although I must admit I'm a little jealous someone else started doing this before me ;)

Keep up the amazing work!

In short time bro, patience and thanks for stay there :)

Looks amazing as usual!! Can't wait to start building/printing this suit!

Im really near, like I gonna say at end, patience, this come to be real ! :)

Iron Man Mark V Transforming Briefcase Suit - YouTube

Check this link out dude not sure if you've seen it yet. Its a bloody good attempt but needs refining.

Good luck =]

Yeah, I've seen this video, but is far away really far away of my idea, finish it the 3d design, shin, boots, and all external and internal conexion parts to unify the model, I´m testing all type of movements, and I´m making changes in the design because I try to make it 100 % functional, that´s reason that I not show nothing at the moment, I make, and then I change it, haha, is really sick but, this is really serious and real, ... the risk is imminent, no time for errors. (the last part is a bluff), haha, but I'm really close to finishing everything, everything is connected internally and I will not comment more, but I will surprise, patience and thanks for being even there.
