It fits like my other suits man, except that the freakin' heavy jackhammer arms :facepalmThe fit of it looks so good, man.
I officially hate you :lol You did amazing work! Can't wait to see what you have in store for us next
I Think you should go for Mark 41 - Bones!!!
Right now I think we have almost every mark (except Red Snapper and Hammerhead... but that's been done and in progress)
The Bones armor? I second that >_<
BONES PLEASE ((![]()
Damn man....i don't have enough hands to give you claps for this!!!! your Striker suit is so fukin awesome!!!![]()
Thanks man, this wouldn't be completed without your helmet file manI guess you have to release your full striker model to!
Speaking of your model, how was the unfolding going on?

You guys must be kidding, come on! Mark 41?! Damn its harder than this suit :facepalm not to mention there isn't a back shot of the suit, I only found some toy figure images on the net but still no back shots. Well if you guys have some good reference for it I might give it a try after my commissions and my pending Mark 16 "Nightclub"
appreciate the masking and painting.
I know, right? I've still been working on a decent process to paint and then glue components together so there's less masking, but it's still a lot of labor. We get that one figured out (where foam is still being glued to foam and not paint on foam), that'd be awesome. I just don't trust gluing sealed/painted components together, those surfaces lift off way too easy.![]()
i think i'll just mix both of the book concept and the final movie version. . .i don't know, i only have this image :facepalm

well if we are only neighbors then we could work that out :lol
i tried (once) painting the foam first before gluing when I'm building a Mark 42 ab piece, it works, the trick is don't seal/paint the edges. . .so that you can still glue the pieces. . .
I think I'll pass for the Mark 41. . I did some quick research and yeah, its hard to build. Exposed internal details, wires, etc. it's really a nightmare to build. . .Its way off my foam building skills :lol considering that I've built a Mark 42 last 2012 without pepakura :lolSorry guys, the helmet is one thing, but the suit? Geezus!!!
Igor's getting ready man, still the spine looks killer :thumbsupYep, exactly what I'm doing with Igor's spine right now. :thumbsup For the supports that extend off the torso, I completely sealed and painted the back, and now I'm dremeling the finish back off where it has to be glued.
I keep going back to look at that Striker, that came out crazy good. That would be a hell of a suit, even with normal Ironman forearms; I keep thinking of the robot from Metropolis :thumbsup

I'm planning to build a war machine mark 1 arms for this, bulky enough for striker's main body.
I've experimented tons during my last commission build.
- car wrap foil
- iron-on foil
- stretchable polyurethane foil (iron-on)
- PVA
- thin laminating foil ironed on foam
...
Some of these actually work really well. The cheapest I found was a thin laminating pouch. I tore it in half and used a hot Iron to put it on the foam... there was no taking those two components apart after it cooled down. You can prime AND paint it and it looks like a fibreglass finish. Very glossy and such. BUT cutting is a no-go afterwards. It also makes it harder to put some details in it. And if you do the offset-glueing, the edges still have exposed unsealed foam.
I'm not done experimenting. If I find a way to make things easier for us foam-builders I'll share it.
wow what a cool build
