Iron-Man MK 17 "Heartbreaker" Build [MOTORIZED HELMET WIP]

Originally sold to a local client weeks ago. The client/buyer asked me to trade my Mark 7 for this Mark 17, in which I agreed. I delivered the Mark 7 earlier today and I picked up this Mark 17 again. So now that this Mark 17 is mine again, I decided to continue this build while building IronShawarma's Mark 42.

I'm using the inaccurate Balmung-Game-Ripped 3D Models. Here's some shots/pictures of each part of the suit (the buyer/client dismantled the raw suit) :facepalm

Here's the chest piece, originally this chest piece is glued together with the back piece. The buyer removed the smiley faced RT.

Also, earlier tonight, I managed to build the thighs, both left and right. Took me about 2 hours to complete them. I got this built because I felt burnt out of the Mark 42 I'm building.

Here's one part of the thigh pattern I'm using.

And here's the finished thighs.

All I need to build is the shins, the boots, neck and the handplates.

Definitely I will finish this together with the paused Gemini Suit which I currently painting and the Mark 42 Commission I'm building. Thanks for viewing and I'll update this thread soon. Cheers!

thanks buddy, this build is a side project for me not to get burnt out of the mark 42 commission I had right now.

although my personal builds takes time to complete, i'm still able to do some side works and commissions, not to mention my personal life :lol

Re: Iron-Man Mark 17

UPDATE 01-05-14
I started to paint the suit last saturday, mainly the chest piece, using the hot toy's heartbreaker pictures on google.

Still building the shin and the boots.

Here's some pictures.

Re: Iron-Man Mark 17 "HEART BREAKER" [UPDATE 01-05-14: CHEST AND RIGHT ARM PAINTED]

Few more updates,

I finally painted the whole suit despite of having a very cold weather here.

Just needed to install some LED lights and I'm done with this suit.

This is the balmung-ripped low poly 3D model from the game, so I'm aware that this is not 100% accurate.

streetsoul : Thanks buddy! Glad you guys liked it :)

UPDATE!!!! :D

I manage to fill the gaps between the thighs and the cod piece, still using the Low-Poly model for this.

a408qg.jpg

Started to work on the LED Lights of the suit, here's the back piece with the "mini flaps" installed, movable but not yet motorized, i'm being rushed to finish this tonight (12:56am? morning :lol) because I was invited to attend a local university convention

25ptzyq.jpg

Also repainted the helmet with the metallic mark 42 gold colors which I also used on the rest of the suit. Just need to install the eye leds, and yeah, this is a foam helmet.

2ihm7er.jpg

And this is what I have on my table right now. The RT Unit, still WIP though. I had already installed 15 blue led strip below the main silver detail, just to emphasize the blue outline color, then also installed 11 white leds on the center of the RT. Still need to get a decent unibeam reference to print and install on top of the white leds, I'm on a rush so I just print out a unibeam template for now. :lol

Very well done, man! You are truly gonna have yourself a House Party Protocol at your place soon:thumbsup

Re: Iron-Man MK17 "HEARTBREAKER" [SUIT UP TRIAL]

i didn't attend the convention today, some unfortunate event happened, well, a little bit personal,

anyway, as for the suit, i will rebuild the upper torso using the scale for the ab piece, it seems a little bit off and a little bit big compared to the other parts with the same scale. .

thanks for appreciating my work so far

Yeah I need to get these suits standing up in the wall maybe before my birthday on March, that will be a house party :lol Thanks buddy! *bro fist*

Looks great :thumbsup

Thanks man! I'm not satisfied with the torso, it's too damn huge for me so I decided to reject that part and make another one:

Low Detail mk17 template, I would like to once again say thanks to FatMan for his wonderful and useful idea :) Thanks buddy!

Awesome are you making casts?

As I am aware that foam suits can be cast, I have no idea how to do it honestly, but I want to try it someday, using james/xrobots' videos on youtube on molding and casting plastic coated suits, which is also i don't have any idea how to plastic coat foam suits :lol

you remind me of this stealth :lol
