Iron Man Mark I Chest Piece?

Here is what I'm going to do. There is a special kind of plastic that is a bit green as an edge color only. It looks a lot like real glass when flame polished. I going to remake the light ring with that type of plastic. Reason being is a tinge of color will look good when the prop is OFF. Once lit it will not be seen as any color just white.

The LEDs are not the right ones and not bright enough just yet. The current is also not right. What I'm planning to use is possible a 4.5volt battery supply to power everything, or 6volt, will see.

Anyway it's getting close. I'll soon get to the point where I will be molding the main part and other pieces. The lit ring is all hand work ,no molds there. There are also a bit of Lathe work in this piece.

The cream color you see is just the light being shown through the plastic. Once the parts are poured in black plastic and then covered in the copper wire wrap it will disapear. Not to worry.

Fantastic work (y)thumbsup

WHAT WAS I THINKING! Boy this took me a while to figure out. There is no way around it. It takes at least a half hour to put one on. I made soooo many jigs to get it to this point. Tried everything but all was very labor intensive. Hopefully I don't break it once I do all ten segments. I can see why no one is making these.
