Can you explain your work flow? I feel like I spend so much time cutting and dremeling to make clean edges. Smaller pieces (single forearm, single shins, etc.) I can get cut, sanded, and glued together in an evening. I just can't imagine how you could do a whole build in 8 days.

I actually made it like a half inch too tall or inch taller this time. I'll cut a piece from the mannequin tomorrow and it will be perfect!

Well the back piece took 9 hours which I did on a saturday(watched the lord of the rings .) Alot of other pars like the chest, arms, and legs are pretty simple to be honest. But here is what I do.

Print pep file
turn on movie(Even though I don't look up much to watch it, I can still hear whats going on. Haha! It's better than music)
sit on bed
cut out pep file pieces
trace onto the foam
cut the foam
glue the parts together
use laptop for pepakura reference
finish part
repeat

Then if I have time I'll start the plasti dip and painting process while I'm working on new parts.
and I do each side at the same time like both forearms or borth shins at the same time.


I also don't really worry about being super precise on my cutting.. I just thrash right through because its just foam and It turns out alright.

It does looks much better this way, I still don't know which Iron man suit to make and your Mark VII is making the choice even harder..

Mind if i ask you what scale you used for each part?

but darkside501st modeled the abs and cod wayy to small so I upped them up to 24.365239
 
Great job here ! For a fast build it's still pretty nice. Do you mind telling me how you did the forearms ? Which files did you use, if you cut them to make the curves or just used several big pieces ? That would help me quite a lot, as I'm struggling to get it right ...
 
hey Royal not too sure if you mentioned it but are all the files that you are using are they Darksides? BTW The suit looks AMAZING!! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
