Iron man 'Hot Rod' armor

I started this project as the typical war machine build. After I got going on it, I decided that I wanted to do something a little different and make this one my own.
It will be a mix of WM, Iron Patriot and MK4/6. I have dubbed it 'Hot Rod' because thats what the paint scheme reminds me of....the hot rod that TS has in the shop in the movie. All of the red is carbon fiber and the black is flat with just a touch of silver.

Let me know what you guys think so far. I'll be making the IP cannon today and finishing my thighs.

Decided to go ahead with the legs today instead of the cannon. I only have 2 more weeks to finish this thing....

Are the abs on this MK4/6? I thought teh Hot rod was a piece for piece Iron Patriot minus the cannon. looks good anyway!

it's a hybrid suit. . .he said that "It will be a mix of WM, Iron Patriot and MK4/6. I have dubbed it 'Hot Rod' because thats what the paint scheme reminds me of....the hot rod that TS has in the shop in the movie."

:cheers anyway this is awesome. . .lookin' for ward for the finished suit

Finished my other leg today. 1 more boot is all I have left to build. Now its time to seal, dip, and paint after I get it fitted and assembled together!

Went on a float trip this last weekend, so Im a couple days behind now. Came home yesterday and got right to work. Abs and Cod velcroed together, straps from cod to thighs installed and fit, and everything is sealed with 4 coats. I will be hinging the knees today after work then plastidipping.
Should have it all painted today or tomorrow.... ready for final fitting and last minute details by fri and Cosplacon on sat!

Also, I did not realize that there was already a "hot rod armor", so I guess Ill dub this one "Rat Rod armor" to hold back the confusion...

went to a con yesterday and stayed in the suit a solid 12 hours. Only lost I velcro tab, so Im super happy.
Heres a couple pics, I'll et more up as soon as i can go through them......

Heres a quick pic of the knee hinges I made. Based off the hinges in my actual knee braces
I walked up and down stairs all day long. These things work awesomely, much better than binding post screws imo. Full range of motion w less chances of tearing the legs apart

I also added a flash feature to my arc reactor.... it can be solid or flash around in a circle. Everyone at the con loved the flashing, so I used it most of the day

very nice, it's similar to what i did to my mark 42, the difference is i screw the foam and i didn't use a separate hinge system lol. .thats why i ripped the thigh part when i wore it the 5th time. . :thumbsup excellent job on the suit. . .loving the color scheme too

Heres a couple more pics. I am working on my arm guns and shoulder cannon now. Going to Fandom Fest in Louisville Ky in 2 weeks, so Im hoping to have it complete by then.
