Iron man helmet colors AX5 red or AH3 cherry

Got actual colors chips from a local auto shop, both are Nissan colors AX5 (Red) and the AH3(Cherry Red)

As you can see the AX5 is way darker, the AH3 is the same code as the off shelf Duplicolor cherry red spray can but doesn't match the chip at all. I heard the AX5 is what was used for the original, but seems dark to me, any input would be great.

Is that the accurate color used or a close match or just assuming to your eyes it was the correct one? I just want the closest color as possible.

I found I liked the 2010 Dodge PRH Inferno Red Crystal Pearl
Has enough pearl to give it a heavy anodised kind of look to it if applied correctly.

so to acheive Anodized look without goign threw the real chrome /paint process , would you think the lighter is better to immulate better anodized?

Not sure, never tried it. Once I found the color I liked/looked best I never gave it any more thought.

AX5 is one of the test paints they used as shown in the Art of Iron Man, and it looked like the best choice to me :thumbsup
