Iron Man - Face Plate

I'd love to do just the faceplate front in the bare metal color, w/the writing on it. That'd make a really nice, inexpensive wallhanger.

I was looking for a good pep model of the face plate but most of the ones I saw (Actually I only found 2) were either too flat or too rounded.

i am building mine up with car body filler
it pretty cheap and easily sanded to shape

Does anyone offer just raw castings of the face plate without the entire helmet? Budget restraints on the unemployment line have me looking for a cheaper alternative.

Thats probably what I'm gonna want to do from right now aswell, I'd eventually want to do the inside when I have more money.

well heres my faceplate so far

here it is not anywhere near being complete

needs more sanding and shaping holes drilled and countersunk
then a cast and it can be put on my wall

its base is a printout from pepakura
a software package that allows you to print out 3d models flat
then covered with tissue and wood glue to harden it
and then car filler
well thats what i did anyway

I had a sweet surprise waiting for me at home last night - a box from Fettster with my soon to be faceplate display piece in it. Such a great quality piece I was very impressed and excited to get started- I have a plan for the display that I think will look very nice. Now I just need to finish prepping it and work to figure out all the little writing on the screen used one, and figure out the best method of matching the writing.:love
