Is anyone planning to do a run of these?

I'd want one. Someone on eBay is selling SHIELD patches but they're more like the division seal than like those.

A friend of mine wants to be Black Widow, so I was thinking about just making one of these out of Foamies and Plastidip. She's not huge on accuracy, so it should fit the bill.

...I'd still love a more accurate one though.

Zendragon,

wrapofcons said he was going to do a urethane version of the patch in wiliqueen's thread on LoH. Check there.

Does the movie one have the US flag on it like the cloth patch? its sort of looks like it does in one of the pics I have seen

Do we actually know which arm the patch goes on? (Click the pictures to make them bigger)

This promo suggests it should be on her left arm:

and this one suggests it should be on her right:

Compared to these screenshots of her in the movie:

And this one where she's talking to Jon Favreau between shooting:

Where she's not actually wearing a patch on either arm.

However I...ahem...obtained screenshots of the movie to compare and I'm still none the wiser! (Especially since the promo screenshot of the fight had one on neither arm but the cap I took has one on her left)

Left:

But in this picture, it looks to me like there's one on both arms...

Thoughts? I'm wondering if maybe they were digitally added to the movie after the scenes had been shot?

I have those communications open, so it looks like Max may be a good source.

I am betting both arms...

The initial stills don't show the patch. I believe that in some of them the patch looks to be edited out. My guess is that they wanted it to be a bit of a surprise considering that Widow has played both sides of the law. Then when it was identified in a screen cap from the trailer the rest of the images that came out had it.

Will please you let us know if anything comes through on that? :)

I didn't think of that, you're probably right.

In the film there is a scene she definitely has a patch on each sleeve, but there is also a clear scene where she has no patch on one (right?) arm. So...do what you like?

Another vote for the left - that's where I'm planning to put it. Just design-wise, it doesn't make a lot of sense to me have it on both, and we seem to be seeing it most commonly on the left.

I'm also thinking, while of course the doll isn't a primary source, they seem to have had some pretty darn authoritative references to work from. So it is a useful resource, and I think it's probably safe to say they've got this right, or at least "official."

Before you fully decide, download and watch my video link lol.
