Hey guys, first post here but I'm not exactly a stranger, I've been picking your minds for ideas, research and help on many a project, so thanks for bein all smart and knowledgeable. ;)
Little background, I'm a HUGE horror guy, been collecting horror props for the better part of 10 years now, I've got a pretty good collection of independantly made masks and props, from the classics, modern, and conceptual pieces. Over the last few years I've really gotten into Star Wars props too, mainly helmets, since that's what got me about the movies when i was a kid. It was a true geek dream come true when I got my full trooper suit LOL I've also got a Biker Scout in the works, Snow trooper, Tie Pilot set on the way, Jedi Fett helmet I painted up, scratch built Trooper and Fett blasters, a buddy did most of the parts work, and I did the finishing. Here's a picture site I set up with a bunch of pics, I really like doing progress shots, so there is a lot. http://s165.photobucket.com/albums/u72/starwarsbuilds/

Onto my quandry, a helmet kit I'm planning for the future is an AT ST driver, and I could use a hand with the comunications greeblie. I've been all through the site searching, and found some reference I can use, but I was hoping to get some more before I stared on it. Any high res caps, schematics, other info, or if I can even buy the part from someone that'd be fantastic. Also if anyone has the right shade of paint to use as the base color, or high res caps of the whole helmet would be great too.

It looks to me like the little round detail on the comms box is the same (or very similar) to the 'gears' on the ROTJ Vader crown. Those have been claimed to have come from a camera tripod.... or so I'm told.

Okay, I know the piece you mean, thanks, that's one part I can know what I'm making.
The Scot kit was from KS, I'll shoot you a PM with the link.

Anyone else have ideas? I'm sure it's the same part that was used on the Veers helmet too, so info on that works great too.

The comlink on the AT-ST lid got me stumped too...

Ended up finding as many screen shots as possible, and had a go at making my own.

Here's the result..... although the lid has been modded a bit more since that pic..
