Interesting Flash Handles - What to make??

I scored an interesting set of Flash handles. They are made by Abbey and I have never seen their exact style before. I am thinking the smaller one can make a mighty fine Yoda Saber or maybe a fantasy short sword / long sword Jedi set.Thoughts?

Those things look like they were made to be turned into sabers.

I have one of the longer Abbey's. It is pretty cool looking.

I think the pair would make a nice saber set. The smaller one could be a shoto (short blade).

(in my best Yoda voice) Decided it is. A set of Sabers with a Shorto will it be. Now, do I make these real hilts and add blades??? Hmmmm...

I had one of each, of the exact same make/model, about 10 years ago.

I never did get around to doing anything with the larger one, and eventually just got rid of it, but I did convert the smaller one into a custom saber:

Yeah, not very inspired or elaborate... but I was just following the example of the prop makers on the original Star Wars :lol

Sell them to camera collectors. It is hard to make flash-based sabers look good.

Combo of grinding down the raised areas and filling in the recessed areas with Bondo, and then paint.

Model kit wheel from the parts bin. IIRC it may have been from a 1:24 scale semi truck. Oh, and a rubber O ring around the inside rim of the flash to center it.
