This is my Inspector Gadget costume. It's still a work in progress. I need to get gloves for the costume, but the base is pretty much finished. Going to add gadgets later as well. I still need to replace the buckle on the belt. I had to make the buttons myself. I couldn't find enough white buttons so I bought Krylon Fusion paint and primer and painted black buttons white. Worked great!
The pants are USMC surplus pants. The tie I got at a thrift store. The coat is also from a thrift store. The hat is from Marshalls. I painted the hat with fabric paint and made a new band to match the coat. I also darkened the belt with fabric paint to match the hat as that is how it is in a lot of the cartoon series. I still need to add buttons to the sleeve straps. I had to lengthen the sleeves on the coat as they were too short for my long arms.
Going to eventually make the Copter, Umbrella, phone, and flashlight gadgets. I'll make more as time goes on too. I'm going to be buying a second hat to add attachments to. Maybe a few hats for each gadget. I know it isn't 100% cartoon accurate, but I'm going for a realistic meets cartoon style for this one.

A friend of mine dressed as Penny as well and did an amazing job on her costume! More photos will be posted when I get pics from a photoshoot we did together.
